LOVE BLOSSOM - Episode 3

EPISODE 3

Kayal was not the normal person anymore. She lost her charm. She lost the ever green smile and the bubbly nature. She saw her father as a villain. But the last words of her mom kept on repeating in her subconscious mind every now and then.

She has a mixed feeling and asked herself why should she forgive her father.. Why did her mom ask her to take care of her father.. Why did he do such an injustice to her mom who was taking care of him? And how did he realize that he did not want her mom and her, at this age? There were no answers. She stayed all alone inside her room. She refused to see anyone.

Latha was informed and she rushed hearing Kayal's plight. Latha and Mithra were always there with Kayal. She was fed and she was even forced to go to school and these words were unheard. She kept staring at her mother’s photo which hung with the garland. She didn't try to take off her eyes from the photograph and give a glance elsewhere.

As the days passed Mithra reminded her that it’s high time since she sat in that room without seeing the outside world. Latha dragged the girl to the hall and asked her to see around. Everything looked bubbly and there was no sadness. In which ways she was perfect to explain her that her father was not even bothered about her mother’s death. And if she stays this way no one will be even bothered to take care of her. She was then reminded of how her mom wanted Kayal to do her higher studies. How her mom dreamed about her future and to see her daughter in high standards. This made her understand that she was foolish to keep her shut for a months’ time like that and didn’t even realize that she has an additional duty to take care now... No matter what she will fulfill her mother’s dreams.

Now it was Kayal's turn to hear the rubbish from her father. May be her mom was not ready to take the words and the mental agony created between love and relationship. She started to even suspect if their intimacy and the relationship they shared as a family was all a lie. Kayal did not expect her father to fall for other women. She had always seen her parents with full harmony, enjoying each and every minute with their only kid.. KAYAL.

For the last few months there were regular fights and she has even heard her father hitting her mom and screaming in all filthy words. These things happened during her sleeping hours. And every time she tried questioning her mother, she subsided the topic saying that she would have been dreaming or nothing happened as such etc.

Did that poor lady ever realize that she would die of sudden stroke when she heard her husband saying that she and her daughter was no more required and all he wanted was another woman in his life? That could cause a huge heart break to any one possible.. And Susila was never an exception.

Kayal became busy and her life was normal. The fire inside her and the betrayal done to her mother was burning deep inside her. She was not ready to forgive her father.. But could not even forget the last words her mother said.

She didnt fail in her duties. She did all the household work. She cooked and cleaned the vessels. She took care of the house hold stuffs. She never bothered to talk to her father unless it was an emergency; else, she was busy with her life.

Latha and Mithra were very helpful. They helped her in her house hold chores and also in studies. It did take some time for Kayal to cope up, but, she did really well.

Soon, the day came when her father came back home and announced that he had something important to discuss with her. She did expect this at one point of time. In fact, she was waiting for this day to start this topic. She wanted to question her father and rip him down into pieces. She was tongue tied with the promise her mother took. First her father asked for a cup of coffee. And slowly started the topic.

Chidambaram told her that he met a lady 3 years back while he was at work. Their frequent get together and meetings made them close. He got married to her in the past and she has a year old daughter. Her name is Amudha. Amudha and his other daughter Kanimozhi will be staying with him here after.

He confessed that in fact he tried to make Susila understand and accept that they can live as one family, but he failed to do so. He said that life with them gave him more happiness than being with his wife Susila. In fact, he said that he will take care of her as she is his first daughter.
She gave a sigh and stared at him. Tears filled her eyes and she didnt speak a word. She knew that it was not at all necessary as everything was pre planned and she was not sure how things will change once she gets to live with her CHITTI (step mom) Amudha. She was not interested about her sister as well. She was not at all interested to meet them. If that was the destiny and if that was what has been decided she didnt want to change that.

She just wanted to confirm one thing. She asked if her father would allow her to study upto her junior college atleast so that she can make her life on her own. But he promised that he will make her study as much as she wanted as that was the promise he has done on his X wife Susila.

She didnt say a word.. she left the room. She was wondering if he could remember one last promise that he made to her mom, why did he forget the promises and the hope that he gave to her at the time of his marriage and their life together?

There was no meaning in thinking of the past and the broken things and that will add to more fuel to the fire. She carried on with her work.

The day came when she was taken for a lunch by her father in a small hotel near her home. SHe was then introduced to her chitthi. Though she didn’t like her, she smiled at her. The moment she saw the kid Kanimozhi, she fell for her. The kid was dark in complexion. But she was full of life. Her beautiful eyes and her smile reminded Kayal about her mom. Yes, Susila looked just like her.

Kayal immediately hugged Kani and kissed her. The look of the kid reminded of her mom. Chidambaram did not think that it would be so easy to convience Kayal. In fact the issue was solved and the next decision was to move to their home.

Kayal did not like the idea. She was not asked to express her feelings. But slowly, she had to accept the fact that its her chitthi and not her mom. Both Chidambaram and Amudha moved to live together. Kani was always with Kayal. Kayal took care of Kani completely when ever she was at home.

Amudha and Chidambaram were working. Kayal used to go to school. Kani was left the neighbour aunty until she comes back from School. After Amudha comes back she takes care of Kani. Though Kayal never tried communicating or getting close with Amudha yet Kani was all her life. She loved the moments that she spent with her.

Never did Kani understand what did the Destiny hold for her in the near future. She never thought that Kani would be seperated from her soon.
