Per cup of tea? I usually make it for two. So for two ppl around 15 leaves I crush them in hand and add.
I only make tea with readymade masala... I am lazy to prepare my own masala. YA sometimes it does taste good if i add ginger and cardamon freshly ground.
Thank u for this Thread I am sooo happy to see a thread of my lifelong companion “TEA”. What I can say about this TEA. It is everything to me.., I am a tea Maniac. Any place i.e, it may be a hotel or a road side normal tea shop no one can stop me going. I love to drink Tea with the Mix of Ginger. The Strong Aroma of Ginger while boiling the tea gives the fresh energy even when I am with full head ache. I have a childhood memory: when I am having full head ache my grandmother gave a cup of steaming ginger tea that it will reduce my head ache. I don’t know it will or not but that words plastered on my mind and I started drinking tea even now when I feel ache in my head. Not only that.. this became my companion even when I am sad, happy, excited…., Thank u….,
I am also a tea lover. I can have a cup of tea at all times and in every mood. I make my tea with ginger in winters and elaichi in summers. To me, all good things happen over a cup of tea. Have lovely memories of having tea at night during exam time with siblings. Mom ke haath ki chai ki yaad taaza ho gayi....
When I have time and I'm feeling leisurely, I make my chai this way too! The only thing I do differently is that I don't add fennel seeds. For normal, everyday chai, I add: 2 teaspoons tea leaves 1/2 cup milk 1/2 cup water 2 green cardamom 1/2 cinnamon stick 2 cloves 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger (if I have any on hand) 1 teaspoon sugar
