You don' t do hair removal on a baby. Take her to the doctor and let the doctor decide if it is normal or not and what to do about it.

deepa this is lanugo, and it will gradually disappear, PLS dont do anything for it....lanugo, peeling skin, all this is perfectly normal in such a tiny baby

deepa, they will go away even if you dont do anything. my baby had lots of hair, really long ones on her ears and all. they are all gone now.

I also say the same..you dont have to do anything..it goes by itself..back in india people use haldi for small kids..but i dont recommend that either..all those make their skin really dry..she is only 45 days! give some more time..she will shed all those:)

hi deepa, congrats and my sweet kisses to her..

even my dd had lots of hair when she born.. my tip is

instead of using soap, use basin and little turmeric, apply little more whereever hair is more. particularly forehead and hands and legs...
i used for my dd.. now no hair nor forehead and hands, very smooth.
i think this tip will help you. takecare.

neelimaravi and lavi, i beg to differ. It would have helped if u wld hv known the lanugo goes off on its own anyway and not because of the procedures you have mentioned.it would only make the baby's skin dry. Imagine the LO has just started to get adjusted to the world outside a womb and we already want to scrub the delicate skin??!!!???and if ur baby has eczema, it will only worsen

elders in my family too possibly did the same thing, but i am happy i didnt for my baby.

    my 2 cents

I agree with Poonam...Don't scrub with turmeric or besan or any sort of such a thing...It might give rashes to your baby and your baby might end up with itchy eczema..

Just leave it alone...It will go away in due course of time.
