How to carry corelle dinnerware set in airplane??

    Hi friends,

    I have purchased "corelle 12 piece dinnerware set".. I am plannning to take it to India ...

    Can I check-in in the flight, the box as it is how I purchased..(I got it from Walmart) Or some special packing is needed....I dint open it as it is firmly packed and I am gifting it...

    Please help me regarding this as many of you would have already purchased and carried it to India...


    Eagerly waiting for ur reply... (I am travelling in 4 days)

    You can keep the package well safe between clothes and tight....

    My co-sister took her dinner set some 3yrs back in check-in luggage, she unpacked and kept in between the clothes i guess...

    It reached safely, but i heard from many they handle the luggage very hard way...so pack it tight between clothes and soft things.

    I agree with USHA. only an additional point make 2-3 layers of bubble wrap and keep it between clothes. It will reach India safely :thumbsup

    You can keep with same packaging, do not open book or adjust plates or anything inside the package. Just keep the package around the clothes and it should be fine. I always take Correlle gifts to India, I keep the same packaging box that I bought from Correlle outlet. HTH's.

    Incase you are worried, you can wrap with bubble wrap that you can get in walmart around the store package.

    put it between the clothes and make sure ur bag is tightly packed...so things dont have space to move inside..
