How Far In Advance To Plan India Trip

    I am planning trip to India (refer Contemplating Solo Trip To India)

    Certainly I will get buddy to accompany me!

    How far in advance to plan.

    Hoping to go summer of 2018. When I went to Air India site, they said it's too far in future.

    Please advise.

    We typically book by end of Feb for summer travel. Don't restrict yourself to airline sites. Go to Orbitz and you will be surprised to see sometimes their fares are less than buying direct from airline. My husband travelled during the Christmas holidays and was able to get a fare of $1400 up Emirates and down Qatar. I am partial to Air India myself, so never book on any other airline.
