    Hi all,

I live in Mumbai.Expecting my second child in January.

My mom and dad are around to help me with household work and my elder child.

Due to some issues Iam not in a position to seek help from my mother-in-law during my delivery time. For my hospital stay, is there a way if I could find a nurse , to help me during the night hours to stay with me.Day time, my husband will be around to help me.The hospital where Iam planning to delivery doesnt allow Gents to stay at night.

I would appreciate, if some one in Mumbai could help with the details of the professional agency who can arrange a nurse for me.

Duration will be 12 hours (night time) for maximum 5 days.

What is the point of being in a hospital if they dont even have nurses?

She probably means a private nurse to stay in the room and help her personally, not one of the staff nurses.

But dont the general nurses bring the child in for feeding etc?

(My daughter will get her second child end of Dec, planning to have homebirth)

Yes, you are right. There are hospital nurses. But this is to help me while I stay in my room, that too only for night time, to help me sit up from the bed or take me to washroom etc.

You can talk to the nurses in the hospital where you are planning to deliver. Some one may be willing to stay when they are off duty. Or they would know fellow nurses who may be able to help.
