Has been thinking such things happen only in fairy tales, never in real life !!

Surprised at the magnanimity of your MIL !

:hello:this reminds me when two MILs and their respective DILs - all four in family way of course in various stages of pregnancy. all were staying together in first floor and all of the menfolk took great care of them besides their children and grand children. It was wonderful to see and hear them busy all 24x7 . all four had full period of pregnancy and delivered naturally in the same hospital within a span 4 to 6 weeks. they were like joint stock company had their share of love, altercations, low and highs. but under one roof they all had plenty of everything including laughter. I hope Raja Raman & Janki are not incognito viewing this.
    Regards.

She is not bad but many things she has that is too irritating like over interference in everything and ordering too much that is now controlled with my repetitive fights. She is kind helpful but same time very egoistic and have so much of proud of giving birth to 3 boys and happy not having any girl child. Too much traditional.

It doesn’t matter to me what my MIL did to her MIL. We are two different individuals with different circumstances and different mindsets. Though I must admit that my MIL has been good to hers . I would like to think I have been good to my MIL , for the most part atleast .

no My mil does not stay with her mil , she stayed for a better part of her life but I heard that she tortured my mil to the core so In the end they both ended up staying separately.well that’s what I heard . And I don’t want to judge her based on her decision to stay away from her mil , it’s not my place to say anything but if she make my life living hell, she for sure knows what happens in the end .... I am no different than her

My MIL did and she did a fantastic job. In fact she never went to visit her parents and dedicated her life to in-laws family.
Every individual is different. Do what you can but ready to accept that you won't get badge of honor.

Here i need to tell about a MIL and her DIL..
MIL is in her second childhood stage., DIL takes an extream care of her, making separate food, feeds her, give bath, medicines on time.., takes care of every little thing just like a mother of a toddler.,always keep eye on her.
MIL forgot every thing ,about her life, husband(expired 18 yrs back),sibilings, even her own children..but the only name and person she remembered is her DIL’s name..
If she dont see her for couple of hrs., searches for her and ask evry one jus like a child ask for mom..
Thats a great bonding between them..

Let me tell you.. The DIL here is my grandmom(mom’s mom) and her MIL. By God’s grace both are still healthy and active.
