    This reminds me of an episode in Ramayana. Kumbakarna went into fierce 'tapas' for the annihilation of all 'deavas'.
    When God appeared before him finally and asked Kumbakarna to name his desire, in his excitement and confusion, instead of asking for 'nirdevatvam' (annihilation of deavas) he asked for 'nidratvam' (eternal sleep). You know the rest of the story!

    :hello: God could foresee and arranged for twisting Kumbakarna’s tongue to be twisted that eventually turned out that boon granted would result in “eternal” sleep. To describe the scene and effort required to wake him up from his deep slumber to get prepared to fight for his brother Valmigi and Kambar gone I to several stanzas that compares with gulliver in liliput!?
