Any experiences with the consultancies or sponsors for 2012 friends ?

Hi ILites,
I'm too looking for the companies who sponsor H1B for this 2012. I have 4 yrs real time experience in software field. If anyone interested , lets join hands and share ideas and search for sponsors together. I have exp in testing and some of the companies i contacted they are advising me to get trained in .NET or Java and loook for job. I 've seen many of my friends without any real time experience took some software training course and got job. I'm little confused whether to change my technology or not . Kindly advise me in this too.

I have more than 3 years of java experience as software developer in India. Actually I came to the US on a leave but planning to quit next month as my manager isn't extending my leave anymore.

Right now looking for consultancies, but would like to know if I should take up some courses to improve my skills further as I have been out of touch for nearly an year.

And do any one of you know how much these consultancies might charge ?
