Ek din khuda ne pucha ae bande bata teri raza kya hai
Kya hai teri chahat aur saza kya hai
Bande ne kaha ki mehboob koi aisa mila
Sari kaynaat mien us jaisa koi na ho khila
Aur wo sirf mera ho aur sirf mera deedar kare
nazron mien itna pyaar ho ki saagar bhi chota pade
choone se uske dhadkane dharti hila dien
woh har lamha zindagi mien kuch aisa rang bhare
rang pyar ka deewangi ka junoon ka ek ho
bus yahi guzarish hai tujhse ki mehboob mila de
khuda bola khwab tera poora hoga per saza bhi saath hai
milega pyar tujhe per gum bhi sath hai
milan hoga abhi per judaai baad mien
banda bola shukr tera un kuch lamhon ke liye
mehboob ki bahon mien bas koi shaam ek dhale

It looks like a poem. I can't say much about it because I don't understand Hindi well. I watch Hindi movies and read the sub title too. But planning to see this movie. Wouldit be possible for you to translate to English.

I am sorry I cannot translate it in english as the whole idea will get diluted. But I will explain the feel of the lines. The talk is between God and a person. God asks him what is his wish which will come with a punishment. the person replies that he wants a person who loves him and only him. God says ok but after the union he will have to go. And the person expresses that one evening with his lover is just like living a whole life.

That is beautiful. Time for to learn Hindi. Is this from the movie?

I really appreciate taking time to explain the lines to me. Yes, when you translates, some of the meanings go away. But you did try to make me understand the meaning of it.
