    sri music or the word ghazal brings you here?? should i say mehfil mein aapke aane se rounak badd gayee

    gustakhi maaf i loved that in ghulam ali’s voice not that nazeem did injustice to the ghazal. what is it with mallu’s affection to ghazals.,




    tamaam-e-umr teraa intezaar humne kiya
    is intezaar mein kis kis se pyaar humne kiya


    talaash-e-dost ko ik umr chaahiye ai dost
    ki ek umr teraa intezaar humne kiya

    tere khayaal mein dil shaadman raha barson
    tere huzoor ise so gawaar humne kiya

    ye tishnagii hai ke unse qareeb rahkar bhi
    ‘Hafeez’ yaad unhe bar bar humne kiya

    Hafeez shaheb explains it so well.

    especially tishnagi in the last couplet.. exactly how i feel after so many years.!!

    thank you so much sri and hope you share such wonderful nazm. music is what keeps it rolling for me somedays..
