It is time now to bid goodbye to August. It is amazing how Time flies! We can perhaps ask Satchi to write a sequel to her ‘Is God a man?’ with ‘Is Time a bird?’. Usually August coming immediately after another month of 31 days would appear to be dragging its feet but not this August 2012! But let me assure you that Kamla and I enjoyed every day of it with our dear ILites keeping us engaged with all their nominations.

The month started auspiciously with the first nomination from my dear sister Iyerviji and it was good to see her being active till the last day of this nomination month. She is not interested anymore in winning a prize for nominating entries to FP and with this inhibition off her mind, she has taken upon herself to refer to FP all the good threads she comes across just for the pleasure of sharing them with her dear friends. This month she has nominated a whopping eight threads!

The second amazing phenomenon of the month is Viswamitra. He is a prolific writer whose every word is lapped up with great relish by the ILites. It is no wonder that eight of his threads have been nominated this month. It is heartening to note that the number of nominations has increased from just 13 in April to 38 in August, a three-fold increase!

We now step into September with great expectations. Old timers might remember the famous 1961 song ‘Come September’. It rocked the charts for generations! Now September has really come! There will be continuous festivities all around. A south bound Sun will make us breath easy and minds cooler. What an ideal recipe for accelerated literary activity! I have no doubt that our Nominators will start getting busy from the moment this thread appears!
