    Paapavinaasa Mudaliyaar - (18th century)
He used the manipravalam style and most of his kritis are in intricate talas. He was very fond of praising Gods in the guise of "Nindastuti".

    Mugathhai Kaati - Bhairavi

Beautiful collection and I have never heard the first two.ma..there is something so reassuring these days when I log into IL .The thought that I will always have an alert from this thread and I only have to click a few times to hear to soothing divine music which will at least temporarily relieve me of anything that I am stressed out about.

PaTTaabhiraamayya (Pattabirama Iyer/ Pattabirama Rao) (1863)

    Apadooruku lonaitinE (jaavali)- Khamas
    On the flute

    On the Veena

    Chelinenetlu -Javali

I have to digress. Please excuse me.

The above song reminded me of this song from the movie Meera. One of my favorites by M.S. Amma
    Maraveney ennaalilumey

Posting this song again to see how beautiful M.S. was.

    Paapanaasam Shivan(26 September 1890 – 1 October 1973)
    Mudra: Raamadaasan

A tough job for me to select just two of my favorites of his compositions.

    Paratpara Parameshwara - Raagam: Vachaspati

Today being Karthigai Deepam day here is a song on Lord Muruga
Singara Velavan Vandaan - Anandha Bhairavi

    PaTnam Subramanya Aiyyar - (1845 -1902)

Once again, an extremely difficult task to choose just two.

Paridhanaminchite - in lilting flute. I was thinking how proud the parents of these young artists must be who are blessed with children who are exceptionally good in classical music.

Sri Patnam Subramanya Iyer is credited for creating the Raagam Kadanakudhukalam
The very popular and janaranjan - Raghuvamsa Sudha. I like this song on the Veena

However, proving it true that she has the veena in her throat I love only this vocal rendition of this song. Who else? Take a listen.
