Eye problem = please clear my doubt

    Do we get pimple inside the eyes near pupa?? My right hand side eye is red and irritating and slight burning sensation past 1 week. It is gradually increasing day by day. Today i visited hospital but my luck Opthalmologist was not there( I called yester night they told she is available today from morning 9 to 12) . I had to show to General doctor only. After diagnose she says it's Pimple. I was shocked :shock: and asked how come but she was a doctor from middle east who always repeats her same answer again and again. She gave some general medicines told me to wait for another 2 days if not cured have to meet opthalmologist. Now my doubt is do we get pimple inside eyes/Or what it can be?? When i close the eye i can feel some thing.

    I am not sure about word 'pimple'.But two months back, even I faced similar kind of problem in eye.Eye doctor gave me several reasons for cause

    Dandruff in hair
    Body heat
    Change in eyesight

    I used oral medicine and eye drops prescribed by eye doctor.
    Bad luck was I got the same problem repeated for every 3 weeks and lasted for one week.

    Even I visited general phsician initially,but no use.

    Now no issues.

    Hope you get rid of this problem soon

    manju, they look like boils, right. not pimple exactly.
    too much heat can cause this. allergy causes it. my daughter gets them when she is stressed, allergic or excess body heat.

    check into your diet.

    I dont have dandruff i am not sure about change in eye sight i have to meet opthalmologist to clarify. She has given me TOBREX eye drops and some ointment. Thanks for the reply Lakshmi.

    I too have doubt whether it may be allergy or body heat. But if allergy means we get itching right. I dont have itching or discharge just irritation and redness while closing the lid. When i get up in morning my eyes full red and gradually decrease and again next morning the same.

    dd has these.they increase in size gradually. they actually don't have any discharge or itching. but there is a kind of feeling (uruthal.) maybe you tend to rub your eyes because of that. and also too much browsing can dry your eyes.. keep them hydrated. mostly the drops could be hypotears or related to hydrate them.

    the boils will get smaller..but do not go..dd got them suddenly around the same time she was diagonised with pcos. our eye specialist is always considerate with regards to dd. she had been so helpful and understanding during her exams. yes she got them during her 10th, 12th exams too..poor one..

    Could be because of body heat... kindly check your intake and drink loads of water.

    Hmm i can understand Shanthi how terrible it would be while exams. Oh it doesnt go fully does she give any particular medicine to her. Past 2 years i had a bubble or pimple( i cant describe it properly) on same eye upper lid . it used to grow and reduce but it never go off completely all of a sudden it slowly reduced and vanished before 6 months. Now this problem has started inside eye's.

    Rekha yes i am having loads of water. I think it might not be due to Over heat.
