Hi Siva,

"The reprieve is only for those who [expatriates whose visa expires this year] did not register for a new card. Those who did not renew their existing cards have to follow the deadlines in each of those three emirates," the spokesman said. They can renew their ID cards without fines until January 31 in Sharjah, March 31 in Abu Dhabi, and May 31 in Dubai.

For renewing the Emirates ID, you have to go to authorised typing centers, pay the fees and submit the application online. The card is delivered to you when ready. The whole procedure takes less than 30 minutes excluding any waiting time.

Thanks for your reply mam.
actually we dn't register we want to take visa in rak. so we are waiting to cancel and to take new visa, our visa ends in 2013 only. . now we need to register to a new Emirates ID.
