It’s a pity that Delhi Daredevils bid goodbye to IPL3!!:oops:shakehead

Deccan won the toss last evening at Feroz Shah Kotla. They decided to bat first. But they had an ordinary batting display as they managed to score 145-7. They compensated their ordinary batting with excellent bowling and fielding. This enabled them to restrict Delhi to 134 – 7. It was a low scoring match as the pitch was slow. An excellent performance by Deccan Chargers ended Delhi’s hope of continuing their IPL3 journey.

I completely agree with Amrita, that Delhi’s performance this year lacked consistence. It was very disappointing to have Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Dilshan and Dinesh Kartik in the side and not being able to make it to the semis!

Delhites, I can understand how you feel!! The Kolkata Knightriders also played their last match of IPL3 last evening at the Eden Gardens. They beat Mumbai Indians by 9 wickets, but this huge victory came too late.

KKR, like DD, has had its ups and downs throughout the season. KKR’s performance though was much better than the last two years. The team which has never gone to the semis of the IPL, deserved a place this year. KKR had some good batting performances from skipper Sourav Ganguly, despite his initial hiccups in the early matches. What surprised us the most was Sourav’s brilliant catching and fielding!
