    Dear Manju,

This title has been fascinating me since I first laid my eyes on it! Kept thinking it is in praise of our 'malligai poo' idlis which, like you say, is a favorite of most south Indians. Having spent quite an amount of time and thought on perfecting the idli with all its fine nuances even in countries where urad is something that is as alien as ET, I still was not aware of its special significance till now!

Must say this was a very educative post for me! You know, one learns a lot in IL! Not being a TamBram (!), it was here I learnt what Sojji Bajji's function was! Thanks to you I have now discovered that the simple bajji has more 'say' than its rich cousin sojji, inspite of its expensive ingredients such as the ghee, nuts, saffron etc etc!!

Good for your hubby that you turned out to be this pretty thing with long hair. I dread to think what his fate would have been otherwise! I wonder if he could have talked his way out of the idlis he consumed without any compunction?!

A very entertaining post Manju and congrats on being nominated to FP by Quebec!

    L, Kamla

    Dear Kamla,

Thank you so much for your feedback in my thread. It means a lot to me.

Very surprised to know that this is nominated in FP. This month ihad been little busy rescheduling my times and never visited the FP section. I feel very honored.

Thank you for letting me know that boogeyman has nominated me, otherwise I would not have noticed and could not have acknowledged him.

    Regards
    Manjukps
