Could an idli make a decision in your life!!!!

    lovely post manju....i could imagine the whole bride-seeing ceremony but i'm really surprised to know that salty food are eaten at bride's house only after liking the proposal, what a subtle way of saying....haha....enjoyed it thoroughly.

    There is a old saying "uppittavarai ullalavum ninai" in tami. That is, you are bound to remember the persons who served you food when you are hungry. Sweet dishes doesn't serve the purpose but the foods with salt do. In this case remembering means establishing the relationship. So only if the proposal is on they preferred to eat salty food - a subtle way of saying yes or no.

    It has been idlis. Not chilies like the scene in Shivaji. Sure my husband would not have eaten it like Rajinikanth even if it loosing me.
