I could see a lot of blog posts saying coconut milk does help the skin in lot of ways. I also can see lot of brands getting into manufacturing milk based body lotion like Parachute Advansed Deep Nourish? What's your take on it? Is it a fad or it really helps?
Coconut is definitely good for moisturising. I use Hand & Nail Cream with Nourishing Coconut & Ricemilk. And I like not only the cream but also the fragrance.
Rice milk aka cooked rice water is good for hair and skin too. Personally, I use rice milk for my hair, it makes my hair soft and somewhat shiny... coconut milk + carrot juice can be applied for face. Most of them don't use much coconut milk for their skin. Instead of that they intake the coconut milk inform of gravy or some curries. Applying coconut oil and slight massage to ur face after a head bath makes a shinning glow to your face.
@DesiDivi. Yes Coconut Milk really helps moisturizing the skin. It helps in abounding accustomed derma moisturizers due to its oils and top fat content. By going with your question, not all the brands are making coconut milk based body lotions other than Parachute Advansed Body Lotion and it's my favorite too.
Yes, PARACHUTE ADVANCD BODY LOTION is really good. Worth it. Keeps the skin soft and supple and well-moisturised specially in these cold, dry days.
@deepu Yes, it works for oily skin too. However, it depends on what face pack you are using after coconut oil face massage.
Coconut oil is extracted from coconut milk. So either you can use coconut milk or oil as moisturiser, but mostly in cream some might be allergic or won't work for them. Because coconut based products have to be used in shorter span of time.
