Re: Ceramic wk on pot - Ganesha

    Hi my Ganesha friend,
Sudha I used ceramic powder & Fevicol to make the dough to make Ganeshaji. No ratio used. After making the dough, take required quantity & roll into a circle ( thickness your choice ) In this case I cut out each part separately, put it on the dough & cut the shape.
While doing it see that the portion of the face goes under the crown so that gap doesn't come, same case with other pieces. So that the finish comes out well.
I painted with fabric colours, used silver liner for the white dots visible everywhere, background is blue warnish.....
Any more doubts do feel free to ask
    Looking forward to your work....
Joshila I hope your doubt too got cleared...

    Re: Clay model - Ideas

Not sure how old is she....but am still suggesting.

    1. Help her do something with a meaning (not just flowers/one house, one tree). May be create a scenery in her own little way- a park/garden/ her school and playground with kids/Christmas village/Golu arrangement/birthday party/Orchestra band (like how you get a set of Ganesha idols playing various musical instruments) and so on.

    2. If it has to be a single model only- then may be a tree with some expressions like "save me/use less paper" Gandhiji's three monkeys or something like that.

    3. Don't forget to give her creation a name and then write that on a placard and place it with the creations, am sure that would add a value to her work.

Hope it helps, Good Luck to your DD.
Do share the pictures of what she finally made. Have fun!!

Ganesha -a showpiece (My first Clay Work)

    Dear All,

I am posting my first clay work -a showpiece - "Ganesha"

It is not perfect as this is my first try with clay. I tried by level best to bring out ganesha. so please bear with me.:bonk

I had difficulty in sticking them in place especially Ganesha as parts kept falling. After several attempts with some patient waiting moments, finally i made it!!

I got inspired by our Dear IL Shuba (Shubag) who had posted her first clay work Peacock.

Thank you Shuba. I didn't get a suitable bottle, so tried this.

    Friends, your feedback please..
