    Your Feedback about Ravana mesmerizing Lord Shiva with his Kambhoji, brought to me fond memories of the old film ‘Sampoorna Ramayanam’, where T.K. Bhagavathi who sports the role of Ravana, plays a song in Kambodhi on his Veena, praising Lord Shiva. The Veena strings break in the middle, signifying a bad omen!

Oothukadu frontier temple Veera Maha kali, Ponniammanmedu & selviamman we visited first as we had pre arranged abhishekam Pooja and upon his conclusion we proceeded to the nearby Kalinga Narthanar koil when it was already closed past one. But luckily the driver of our Car familiar to the purohit’s and so he drove us to his home at close proximity to temple. We spent an hour in the temple.
    3. As a child my dad had several decades ago walked me inside this temple.
    4. A composition Oothukadu Venkata kavi set to Mohana KalyanI in Sanskrit beautifully rendered by leading exponents of Carnatic music that includes Padmasri Sudha & Sowmya welcoming Lord Krisna is quite popular. Yes you had guessed it right.

    Reading about Khambodhi and oothakadu Venkata kavi the first and my favorite song comes to mind - "Kuzhal oodhi manmellam Kollai Konda pinnum Kurai yedhum ennakyedhadi..."
