Dharmayudham Billa Muthu Bhuvana oru Kelvikuri These are movies I never tire of watching!!! Any movie with Rajini I enjoy!
Netrikan, Aboorva Ragangal! how could i miss this one! Iam very fond of the 'Ramanin Mohanam', 'Athisya Raaagam' songs!
I think Rajini was good initially with all the Balachander movies and then all those Amitabh movies being remade in Tamil. It is only after all those movies in which he is actually rich but got poor because his appa wrote away all the sothu to Sarath Babu's parents that it started getting boring! However, Basha is an all-time favorite
CW, Nice thread to list the Best of Rajini movies. I like these movies and keep watching whenever I get a chance.. Thalapathy, Maapillai (that's good one. nice time pass movie), Sivaji, Johnny, Aaril irundhu arubathu varai, Guru Sishyan, Thillu mullu, Thambikku endha ooru, Bits and pieces of Kodi Parakkudhu, Annamalai and Mullum malarum
Rajnis movies were good until he transformed into a Super Star. I like Aval Appaditaan. Esp the climax where Sripriya will ask Saritha about her views on Feminism. Saritha appadina yenna nu keppa. Sripriay adhu teriyathathu nala thaan neenga nimmadhiya irrukeenganu solluva.
That's a vey sad movie CW. There's a song in that movie - Uravugal thodar kathai. I simply love that song. Very close to my heart.
I used to secretly wish that my husband would come and sing that song to me when I was in a lousy mood! Especially the lines "un nenjile baaram, adharkagave naanum sumaithaangiyaai thaanguven un kangalin oram, edharkaagavo eeram kanneerai naan maatruven" Yesudas would have infused just the right amount of emotion into that song "Esp the climax where Sripriya will ask Saritha about her views on Feminism. Saritha appadina yenna nu keppa. Sripriay adhu teriyathathu nala thaan neenga nimmadhiya irrukeenganu solluva." That was the time I guess when a lot of directors were heavily influenced by KB with all the strong female characters!
