I know Breast milk is the best feed for baby however if there is shortage of breast milk supply and we do need to top up with formula feed, which supplement is the best for an infant (2 month old)? Has any one used both Lactogen and Nan Pro 1? Which one did you find better and which one would you recommend?
Why do you feel there is breast milk shortage? Usually top feed is not required when breast feeding regularly unless there is a problem with weight gain. Choose a formula that has less sugar.
I have twin babies and from 2 week I had to use dexolac-- special care since they were born at 37 weeks...and later moved on to dexolac premium one.....
Dear NAN pro is good based on my exp with my kid. She is now one and half years old. I started the formula feed for her only after her fifth month. Do take doctor consultation before starting the formula. Nan helped in gaining good weight. Fathima M
" Similac advanced "is good, not very sweet like lactogen, my son drank it as a baby, he gained good weight. stage1 is for 0 to 6 months baby
Other than going for formula, try eating oats, raw papaya fry, keema and other items which which increase your milk supply. There are also medicines like lactare, available to increase your milk supply.
I would recommend for Lactogen, which I found is the best one as my kid had put on good weight. If you planning to feed formula milk because of storage of milk supply, then have shatavari (ayurvedic powder) with milk twice a day. This increase the milk supply. Its based on my personal experience.
