How much clothing has been put on the baby? Sometimes out of fear we put layers of cloths this may cause heating of body. I hope this part is okay. I would personally not go for any Brands when it comes to rashes as in my world, Brands = chemicals = more rashes. I would put tiny drops of sweet almond oil on face and some virgin coconut oil for body and loose cloths and just one more layer of cloth then what we are wearing. All the best.

Emm, how about not using any soap at all until the rashes go away? I am thinking, just wash her with warm water and to moisturize, apply tiny bit of almond oil and see?

My DD was born in summer. She got her rashes hen she was about 6 weeks old. Doctors told us heat rash. I tried Johnsons, Aveeno, California baby, Cetaphil but with no luck. My mom applied paste of pure sandalwood (need to be cautious since it causes cold). The rashes went away in a week.

Please keep checking his head for cradle cap. Apply oil diligently on his head if you find cradle cap to be coming. If the rashes are present in the head too, then chances of cradle cap become high.

If it is heat rash stop applying oil to his body parts. Oil clogs the pores and it eventually increases the rash. Do not use anything for his body. Plain warm water is the best.
