    simply fold the newspaper to about 1 / 2 inch strips..that is by length fold into half then again do the half fold and again fold into half...this will get you 1-2 inches strips... now make around about 10-12 strips to start with....then as you make the basket if you need more strips make them. Start weaving with the four strips and then start joining more strips intersecting as in weaving. get the base for the size you desire. Then fold the excess strips to sideways to get the four sides and then again continue weaving.
