Arranged or love marriage and how??

    Hi all ,

    Since the time I joined IL, wanted to post a thread.

    Was your marriage arranged or love?
    How did it happen, I mean the source?
    I am sorry if it's being personal.

    Mine- arranged
    Through Bharat matrimony, I should say his match
    proposal was 'the first and last too '.

    Mine is arranged.. Thru a matrimonial center..

    Anyway there is a famous joke, guess all know this:

    A person asks another person "Is love marriage better or arranged one is?"

    the other one replies "Its like asking- Is natural death better or suicide?" :) :)

    One more saying which I read on internet:

    Don't marry the person you want to live with, marry the one you cannot live without, but whatever you do, you'll regret it later.

    Vibha, I had an arranged marriage. It was a Maggie marriage. Instantly everything fell into place and I was married before I cud take a breath.My parents met my husband's family thru a mutual friend and came to know about an alliance.Before I knew it , I was married.Its been a whirlwind, but all in all a good marriage where I became braver and learned to trust my talents. Thats courtesy my husband. He taught me , I can do anything.

    Mine is arranged thru matrimonial site... It's going to be 5yrs n we have a son :)

    I just got out of relationship it did not work out ... Went fr arranged marriage coz I was nt going to waste few more yrs of my life on a relationship which was nt going any way, I'm so glad I took that decession ...I was blessed with a good family ,DH n MIL.

    Mine is Loved, we dated for 2 years before marriage and then was accepted by parents and went like arranged.....

    Love marriage with parental approval. Met him through a mutual family friend of ours. I would like to say that I fell in love the moment I saw him but it could have been an attraction that developed into love. Our love has only grown over the years!
