Hi All, We are planning to have a ooty trip this weekend. Appreciate pointers on places to visit and stay for Couple with 2 kids(3.5 yrs) and a single friend.
Hi, You can visit garden,boat house or ooty lake,doddabeta (its just view point),rose garden(not sure if its open now),ooty market it'll be very lively.. these are within the city limits..other places are pykara dam..6th and 9th miles,western catchment..these are little away from city but u'll get good views..
Stay in Cunnoor and visit ooty.cunnoor is so beautiful and ooty is so commercialized. Also if you want to stay in ooty,hotel Darshan is a very good option,lovely rooms and opposite to ooty lake and food is also very nice.
It would be crowded in april may. If you are looking for some calm fun. Destiny farmstay and kurumba farmstay There are many hotels and resorts other than these Places to visit are many. All are listed. You can chk gudalur masinagudi and kotagiri too beautiful places.
Is mithun chakravarthy's hotel still around ? I heard there were huge discounts for producers that would stay or film their movies there ( with mithun as the lead , Ofcourse )
Srishareddy - thank you for posting its history in such detail. I am planning to go to Ooty in mid July. Besides rains, do you think I will find greenery in gardens like Brindavan garden.
