Advice for moving to Edison/ nearby areas

    Hi, My husband has got a job in NYC (near Penn Station) and we are looking for good residential options in North/Central Jersey. He also needs to do bit of travelling to Boston, Wayne etc. We are thinking of moving to Edison or any other city on NJ transit line to keep two job markets open for both of us (NY and NJ). Main requirements are: Good school system (for our 7 year old child), Safe neighborhood, Available parking at train station in case it is not at a walking distance and also reasonable rent. I know that North Edison is a good area due to JP Stevens High school but not sure if that is important right now as my daughter is only in grade 2. How are the schools in Iselin/Woodbridge area? Can anyone please let me know of a good elementary school in this area so that i can look for apartments near that.

    Hi SRK123,

    Not yet, I wil be enrolling my daughter this week in the edison school district.
    Will let you know once I finalize the preschool, stil didnt visit any preschools

    By the way, which part of edison you are moving?I moved to north edison

    Hi.. Good morning..
    Actually I was asking about which apartment you chose..and how is the school district? basically we need to move to new jersey by the end of this month.. and we are planning tomove to edison.. hence looking for suggestions for apartments with good schools..

    North Edison schools are very good, We moved to a single family home close to James Madison Elementary school

    Saw some townhomes in Edison Manor community, not sure about the schools there
