Adding Spouse Name In Passport

1. Please get updated changes in your address and add your husband name together in tatkal process .

or

2. For only add in name of husband - marriage certificate is enough


No Final copy marriage certificate shows the address .. Does your shows ?

 

actually at the time of visa processing, i didn't had my H name on my passport, but still got visa, is it a requirement now?

 

@KashmirFlower hope you applied for you individually if you are applying on dependent it is must.

 

no, that was my H4 at that time, I made my passport before marriage and didn't have spouse name in it.

may be if kids are there, then it is needed i think, to show that kid is their kid and both are wife and H, not bringing any others kid in to the country.

IF yes, no worries, I would mention my exp for other members who have similar questions-

1. Adding your husband's name in PP is not necessary for visa. You only need to carry your marriage certificate, wedding photo pic, and an employee letter and invitation letter from him if he is already onsite. That is what worked with me. But do check the visa office website for all the required documents.
It has been 4-5 years n i still have not added his name in my PP.

2. For me it was reverse, the address in marriage certificate is different than my passport. My PP has my permanent address, it was made in my 20s and marriage certificate ( in my early 30s) has current address at the time we got married. I just had give my current address proof. If you have a current address in passport, I am assuming you got it recently while marriage took place earlier. Pls call the visa office to clarify this specific question.
