Acetone +++

Hi all,

Actually last week we went to doctor as my wife got severe vomiting and
not able to eat anything or drink. now its her 6th week, even her water intake also less, when consulting the doctor she tested and the report showed Acetone +++.

so they put IV and also vomikind both iv and gaved tablets. the doctor told within few days this positive will be leveled so need not worry. well now after this medication she feels good and having her food and liquids.

i like to know what is Acetone+++ result, is it bad condition pls explain.?
how to tackle this?

Acetone +++ - do you mean in a urine test result?

If so, keeping your wife's condition in mind - it may be due to severe vomiting and starving (because she wasn't able to drink or eat. Sometimes it can be seen in pregnancy too. With the treatment you have mentioned Acetone will disappear from the urine. So not to worry. The doctor will keep a check on it.

Other than this Acetone may appear in many other conditions including uncontrolled diabetes.

Yes Acetone positive showed only in urine test only,
yeah her condition was like severe vomiting and starving during last week.
i like to know how to keep acetone in levels?

well they give doxylamine tablets for vomiting and then now
they give vomikind.

Is vomikind good for treating vomiting in pregnancy?
