Try different variety of rice. There are short grained, long grained, fragrant, sticky etc Try a different one from what you are eating now. Rice + curd is good. Add avocado, it will help with constipation. Mash it or just give it in chunks. No banana. Give raisins. What wheat atta are you using. Refined ones will cause constipation. All desi brand ones are refined. Get Redmills or King Arthurs variety. Rice and roti is easy for us mothers, because we cook it for ourselves, take to potlucks, find it at desi buffets, and it is available when travelling to relative and in India. But all this factors, do not make rice and roti, the best food available for young children- nor they are the worst. So, don't get disheartened. People in south America are growing Avocado just for supplying to US, entire countries are just catering to US market. You can get any thing...just about anything..here in US. So, don't worry, your child will find something nutritious, easy for your to prepare/ buy, to eat. Happy mothering!
