Almost 4 weeks since I decided to stay off social media including IL until I had put in 2 hours of productive work into my day. So far keeping to the plan without missing a single day. I used to wake up and reach for the phone. Now 5am-11pm has turned into a period of calm and deep productivity.
While driving towards the University, I saw a rainbow. My whole body responded to that with joy. No need to say, my day started beautifully and ended with the contended mind.
After long patch of stress and sickness, internal and external, looked in the mirror and liked what I saw.
Boys had an opening day at the school. Met their new teachers and saw their work. Very thankful and happy.
My brand new fridge I replaced in 2017 when I did kitchen refurbishing started leaking from the filter area on the panel on the top. I cut off the water supply to the fridge for 4 days and waited patiently for the technician to fix it today. He cleaned up the panel above and removed the filter and told us not to put any filter if we are not using water from the fridge or replace filter every 6 months to avoid leak. Now, there is no leak. We always buy water. Fortunately, we had a 5 year extended warranty with no visit cost. I didn't realize such a minor domestic problem can work so much havoc in my mind. I need to work a lot on my mind to improve it. I realized I have no right to advice the wives as to how to fix the husbands unnecessary worries and negative thoughts. Finding this is positive. Viswa
Productive work day. Got through most of the tasks I had planned for today. Helped someone with a problem they were struggling with.
I had an evening lectures. My husband has to take the elder one to the cubs. So I took the younger one to the lecture theatre. He managed two hours without disturbing any of us. Of course I packed his iPad, story book and some treats to eat. I am realising that my kids are growing and learning to manage situations along with me. Very thankful.
