Relaxing on the couch, asking Alexa to play my favorite 80's music for uninterrupted 40 minutes. Sheer bliss!
Weekend.. handwritten to-do list. Added a few tasks that were not on the list, after completing them. Just to check them off.
I am not a big proponent of Sanskrit Stotram recitation but decided to accompany my wife to attend a discourse on Dakshnimurthy Stotram, written by Adi Shankara. I enjoyed this four days of discourse as it had a very high spiritual content for right living. We both walked away happy lost in our own thoughts, one enjoying recitation and another enjoying the meaning behind the Stotram. Viswa
When my family got hooked into watching Jodha Akbar, an old serial played in Zee TV, I didn't want to compete with my wife and MIL requesting time slots for watching my favorite programs. Hence I had a tablet with a headset to watch my favorite program. My headset broke last week and I decided to buy a new one. When I went for shopping, I found a Bluetooth headset that covered up to 40 feet from the tablet. I am so happy and realize how this little things make me happy. Viswa
Tomato! Tomato! I sing in a staccato Where thou hiding I bring sad tiding Shall I bake you? Shall I puree you? Shall I toss you? Shall I dice you apart? Shall I fry till you depart? There's a woman called Laks She will think of me as a sly fox If I don't show up with my tomato curry As I promised her in a flurry. Today, I claim my kitchen back It looks barren and lost as a sack. Positive is that I love you tomato But I am afraid I have to let you go (kach kach kach ...knife slice)
Was watching The Late Show (Stephen Colbert) with Thing1 and somehow talk turned to the good things people do, I do. She says, 'This is kind of morbid, but I am thinking how, many people will speak at your funeral and say, 'Ms. R this' and Ms. R that.' Never been a fisher for compliments from the progeny. I take what comes. Gratefully. I thanked her. Watching late shows with her has been another milestone long looked forward to. A pity Jon Stewart is so retired from late night TV.
Completed reading one print book from start to finish. After a long time. Had forgotten what it feels like to flip the pages with the thumb to search for something in pages already read. Or just to create air flow on a hot summer afternoon.
Usually, I bin the plastic containers of the takeaways. But today, I loved the sturdy and shapely plastic container so much that I rinsed with soap and stacked with my other store-bought plastic containers in the kitchen. This is the first of the kind that I intend to reuse plastic container of the ordered food. I will store curry leaves in that dabba. One of these days, I will draw zentangles and curlicues on that plastic container with a marker. Wait..I might reproduce the entire Sistine Chapel artwork on it. Positive: Inspiration comes form the least likely place or plastic in this case.
