    Good morning

    Tuesday am
    • While preparing coffee I placed the cut cluster beans (with salt and turmeric powder) in the InstantPot for 3 minutes.
    • After coffee I placed the idli steamer on the back burner.
    • While the water was getting hot, I ground the soaked dhal, mixed this with the cooked clusterbeans and placed the mounds on the idli plates and placed them in the idli steamer.
    • While this was steaming, I chopped the onions and tomatoes, and then started the ennai kathirikkai kuzhambu. You can do this in the instant pot (my hubby prefers it cooked on the stove top).
    • I used half the chopped onions reserving the other half for the usili.
    • I used the already extracted tamarind extract from the bottle.
    • While this was cooking I placed the rice in the rice cooker.
    • Then I ground chutney for dosai (I also put outside the remaining vegetable chutney from Monday).
    • By this time the cluster beans was steamed. Placed the plates outside to cool.
    • This was some down time, so I walked round and round till I hit 1,000 steps.
    • I then prepared the tempering for the chutney and buttermilk.
    • In the same kadai I then added chopped onion and made the usili.
Placed the used utensils in the dishwasher, wiped down the counters.
Then placed the soaked black-eye peas in Instant pot.
    Had my breakfast.
    Done for the morning.

    Tuesday pm.
This is when life happens and plans change.

My husband said he was very hungry and wanted something substantial with evening coffee.
    • So the blackeye peas that was meant for chapathi, became sundal.
    • I was then breaking my head on what to cook for chapathi, oscillating between cauliflower curry or moong beans.
    • Then my H said he is full and wanted something light only.
    • I checked the rice and there was enough for just one person.
    • So quickly made upma, and using the afternoon's usili and kuzhambu finished dinner.

I had reserved some black eye peas for olan.
After making upma, I was heating some water for extracting coconut milk. Fortunately, my H at that time asked what I was doing and when I told him, he said he needed only thayir saadam (curd rice) for lunch on Wednesday.
Curd rice and olan? - not a good combination.
So I put away the coconut back in the fridge and have to rewrite my menu.

For curd rice the best combination is pickle, but this is not sustaining. So I decided to make "suran" fry using the Instant pot, it will be spicy but soft, and some gongura from my kitchen garden.

Will post my rewritten menu later.

    Thank you @Kaput
If you find it helpful, I am very happy.
Lovely spread yo have there. Especially the peas masala.
That will be one of my items in next week's menu.

So, thank you also for sharing the pictures.

Jackfruit seeds never see themselves in any dish. The moment I peel them, I roast them with chilli powder and have them as snack :)
