An old woman sitting On a pond's bank Stared the sky With a bare look A Bunch of Thoughts Struck her mind A Little girl with Flowered skirt Running behind a flock of sheep Hiding behind a tree near by Waiting for her mother come near by Kept her steps slow and steady Hugged her mother and Plucked a kiss And ran away fast Laughing aloud Old lady shook her head Searched the lady and her child She grinned with a pain As her search was in vain To her surprise saw a duck With fluttering wings over the water Singing and dancing merrily alone With a sound of music quack quack quack (Just scribbled my thoughts. Either you read it as a poem or as a story.i leave it to your choice )
Very intriguing, @periamma. On one hand, is the nostalgia of an old and lonely woman and on the other, can't help admiring her positivism in taking inspiration from a duck! Hope I interpreted it right!
Sorry for not posting earlier. While reading your poem i was thinking of my future that i always think about when both of my kids come together on me and shower lots of kiss on me. I want to hold all those moments as when they will grow up i will be left alone like that old lady. It really touched my heart. Very well written.
