So gracefully...in so few words you echoed all that is to be said. With a touch of humour too. Wonderful.
The beauty of a saree lies in its pallu and the one who wears it . A pervert will always be a pervert whether we wear a saree or shorts . Viewing women as lust objects is so deeply ingrained in them that it doesn’t matter what we wear .
Beautiful poem Geeta ! Pallu does the job of hiding all the safety pins to secure my loose blouses plus also covers up for the mediocre work done by the tailor. The one thing about pallu’s is either drape it well to cover the front or get a well fitted decent blouse ( no cleavage please) if you wish to shove the pallu to the side. It takes away the grace and beauty of a saree if one is not careful about it.
Humble pallu? No way! The pallu is always the best part of the sari! It has the most embroidery, the best colors, some even have tassels. The pallu is vibrant and flashy with zero humility. You cheat on us with another forum? But you like us best, right? My blouses are also loose. Geets needs to feed me and fatten me up, too. Nice try, Sandy! .
Nice Poem Geetha. I like it when in cold one covers the shouldrrs with the Pallu gently holding not only displaying the beautiful design but also adding beauty and grace to the woman.
