    Yes, slow and steady wins the race.

    And I'm always monitoring what I say and do.

    My Dad says reason lot of people are mean to me is because my weaknesses are easily revealed to them.

    Only in the past few months I understand this. Now I'm coming to terms with it and trying to counteract.

    Ok, so I won't gift too soon.

    By the way, I painted at office mess today. Wasn't too scary. Spoke to some nice people, including some those Indian ladies.

    Only one mean gorilla scared me, but then went away quickly.

    There is nothing wrong in being an Indian village girl, if that is the most suitable identity for oneself.
    But the complexity starts when someone has mixed identity in themselves.
    I can't wear a modern dress with a very orthodox mind-set. Well, there is nothing wrong if one chose to be the both. But what they face as a consequence to this mixed identity is what I referred in my response to your post.

    People can easily understand what is evil eye and black magic in a village set up, and they can very much respect your privacy and views when it comes to these matters if you are in a village.
    But in a modern place, these superstitions have no place, and it can affect your day today life to some extend... such as not being able to make friends etc...

    But the choice is yours, and you can slowly start as you wish. Good luck
