Scooby.....

You were so little when we first met,
White hair, cute and wide eyed,
With one bark, around my heart you laid a net.
I used to run away from you in fear,
As you chased me around the house,
Trying to sink your teeth into my skin and tear.
You were the light of my house,
But in darkness you behaved like a mouse.
Gorging on food the whole time,
You grew sweeter by the day like old wine.
My little brother and friend you were to me,
A drop of tear, you did not let me shed when in pain,
Wagging your tail like a magic wand, jumping upon me.
You made me happy, you made me laugh,
Now you’ve me left me alone to cry.
Wish all this was just a dream,
And everything was just the way it was supposed to be.
You left a void in my heart,
I ask myself over and over again,
Why did he depart??
Wonder where you are and what you do,
If you now have someone to look after you.
Days would pass, years will go by,
But memories of you will forever live in our minds.
I long to touch you just once more,
To run my fingers from head to toe,
Lips quiver to call out your name,
Hoping you’d hear it and come running from that lane.
Would we meet again I do not know,
I'm saying goodbye and will now let you go.
Rest in peace and sleep heartily,
