The spider started weaving its Silky black web and the first Thread went almost unnoticed In the twilight shining at its best. Like the gentle grayish smoke Coming out from a burnt wick, Its gentle strands din provoke The golden light in a move so slick. That gigantic spider then Quickly spun its denser web Which turned to a blanket when Hours passed and many felt cribbed. Then they started to feel soothed As peace prevailed upon them. For lonely ones who were disturbed The moon and stars pacified them. The job complete, the spider did Rest a while, getting tired and old. Impaled, and move slowly it did As first ray of sword came out bold. Wiggling and turning it did lose Control of its web, getting thin, And finally moved out of sight As the baby sun emerged out then.
WOW Lovely WEB writeup. you have webbed the entire site by your webbed wire strongly. Do web and weave more.
Rgs, Very lovely poem. Can visualise the entire picture. True for spider and us. Thanks for sharing. Vaidehi
Thanks a lot Vaidehi. This is just a translation of my tamil verse, "iravu" that I wrote this afternoon, with some changes. -rgs
I enjoyed both'iravu' and'web. You have caught us inside the web. When I think of both'iravu' and 'web' I am reminded of an interesting event. A rich landlord in Uk wanted to celebrate the wedding of his son in a novel way.He thought of a new festoon design which nobody had tried so far.He chose a wedding hall three kms away from the main land. The entire distance was covered by large trees on either side. The rich father got some 20,000 special variety of spiders from Newzealand and and allowed them to reside on trees either side. The spiders started spinning a special golden coloured web connecting trees on either side.It took nearly 12 days for the spiders to cover the entire 3Km distance with a golden coloured web.In the bright moonlight the web started shining like gold giving reception to the guests. A fanciful golden pandal created by the nature's architect, appreciated by one and all. Similar is the creation by Shri Srinivasan.simply wonderful! jayasala 42 jayasala 42
That sure must have been the most wonderful decoration ever, Jayasala madam. Very creative and original too. Thanks for your lavish praise and an excellent feedback. -rgs
