FB got overboard with the news of Telugu version - remake of Premam movie. I was also under the same impression after watching 'Malar' premam....Sai Pallavi was natural, Sruthi will be artificial.

One of the best movies of that time. ( 1989). Film won 4 National Awards and it was commercially successful also.
MT Vasudevannair completely changed the actual plot of " chathiyan chandu' ( betrayer chandu) to betrayed Chandu.

The dialogue " Chanduvine tholpikkan avilla makkale"is still famous in most of the comedy shows

The song is admired even today.

We were raised hearing the black and white story and all of a sudden we watched the movie with a different angle, I watched as a child with my mom and the neighbor aunties, ( on their girls lunch out ) and i vaguely remember they all were shocked

Another family betrayal movie by Sasi Kumar. All of them are new faces, took awhile to understand the characters and their roles. Do places with violence exist like this today? Hope, it is another nostalgia from south. It is beyond imagination of violence.
