    Dear Ma'am,

You know complain really doesnt help. I mean complaining and expecting things to take place your way just on the basis of your forever woeig nature is a sad dream.
Like there is a saying in hindi: 'Bin maange mothi mile maange mile na beek'.
You dont ask and you get pearls you ask and you dont even get alms.
Most importantly the compulsive complainers show bad strength of character.

    Great blog Ma'am.:)))))))

    Love,
    Your Mol

Dear Mole, we set a bad example to our children by complaing forever!! Very often, complaint is on trivial issues, but people love to complain because it has become second nature to them!!!

    Chithra.

    Hello Ma'm,

Very nicely said Ma'm. When we take responsibility of our actions, there is no reason and there will been no inclination to complain.
Complaining is the same as worrying. Both can be done but with no use. Somehow I have been blessed with a nature not to keep complaining and instead think "whats next..Now I am trying to teach my little one also in whatever way she can understand at this stage.
Thanks ma'm for the nice post
    love

    Hi Chithra

A good topic of blogging. Complaining shows one's insecurity, I feel. To defend one's stand instead of admitting their failure, they tend to complain and look for reason for excuses.

But these days, one who takes the responsibility and admitting mistakes without complaining & giving pardon are sometimes not considered very smart.

There is a saying that : "The efficient worker will be given more work". "The smart worker will be given incentives and promotions". !!!!!!!!!!

    Warm Regards
    Shanti

We have to teach our children how to go ahead in life constructvely, rather than complaining about what is there or what is not there. The quality to accept "as is, where is" has to be developed.
    Love,
    Chithra.

Very much. Insecurity or lack of confidence is expressed as complaint!!
Just because we complain, people or situations are not going to change! We must bear this in mind!!
    Love,
    Chithra.

For some complaining is so ingrained in them, that their system can't digest unless and until they complain. And such people are also very negative. One dosen't fell comfortable being around them.

We are taught to offer gratitude for whatever happens in our life. Be it being sick, or a setback or whatever that happens otherwise. This is really helping me a lot to tide over worse situations also and slowly i am learning this art more and more. Earlier many a times i used to feel why me and now its like lucky me i am getting purified.

You are right, Roopa ! Instead of asking "why me", we must learn to ask ourselves "why not me?". Qite a few develop complaining as a specialised art! We can only ity them, not imitate them!!
    Love,
    Chithra.

What a lovely and crisp write-up Chithu! You have touched upon a very crucial aspect of human nature.

Complaining is a disease that is hard to cure, is unfortunately quite infectious and is also fatal in the sense that it kills your personality. Even when it is so, we see so many people complain about one thing or the other.

One thing that I do not have much patience for is, people constantly complaining about the past when their present is good. I have seen so many people do this. They will remember all the bad memories of the past and keep complaining about how much they had to endure to get to the good state that they are in today. I am all for mentioning the hardships because it inspires other people to work hard but if one constantly laments on how they were once poor or how they made so many sacrifices or how they endured a terrible mil or husband or sil or how their youth was lost in serving other people etc., it becomes detrimental to their own personality and people around them lose patience.

I for one have very little tolerance for people who always find a reason to complain. I am willing to hear a complain multiple times but not forever!

The other thing that I find in complaining people is that they always envy others "good fortune". For ex; if I am not complaining about anything then their dedcution is that I am lucky to have all the best things in life and hence I have nothing to complain about. Whereas they are not as fortunate as me. They have been handed out all the possible bad cards in every sphere of their life! I can only laugh at their ignorance or stupidity, whatever one may call it, because they are wasting their life worrying about how others are lucky and how they are not.

Well, it seems like I have complained enough about the complaining people so that makes me one of them? :) Ha ha..

Chithu the lines you write at the end of your blogs are simply marvelous. They sum up the essence of the blog so beautifully and are a great bullet point reference for revising these thoughts on a daily basis.

    Lots of luv,
    SS

Thanks, SS. You have brought out beautifully, the aspects which I did not write about.
Some old timers (thank god, I am not one of them!) love to complain about the present time, mentioning how prosperous & peaceful "good old days" were. Though partly true, the past is not going to be brought back! Then why not look ahead & spread cheer around you??
No, SS, you are not the "complainng type". I seem tohave complained aout the "complainng type". !!
    Love,
    Chithra.
