Ashwini, I have started adding ghee (only homemade butter) to DS food after he completed 7 months. Have not started cheese or any other dairy. Butter is supposed to be good for brain development, and eases constipation (the reason why I started adding it to his food). I would be starting yogurt after completion of 8 months. Not sure of cheese but would like to know that from expereinced moms.
Hi Tuliplady, "Happy New Year".How r u & ur LO ?thanks for ur info, really helpful .will add some butter in his next time meal.
A small suggestion, can u please change ur pregnancy sticker ..as it still continues the pregnancy weeks.
I have heard, cheese promotes hormones related to lust in the brain. So avoided to eat it during my pregnancy and also not planning to give my baby to eat.
@mercyagin Could you please let us know more details about cheese not being safe? As far as I read, during pregnancy it is better to avoid soft cheeses like feta, brie, queso fresco due to listeriasis. Cheese can be provided to 6 months + babies as long as baby is not allergic to dairy. It is high in calcium and helps in weight gain.
