hi all, how to make curd easy and thick as we got in shop

    boil milk then switch off the gas immeditely add two to three teaspoons of curd into the hotmilk. don't stir after adding the curd. after four to five hour ur curd is ready. u can take a knife and cut the curd like a cake.

    In 1 litre of boiled milk add 2 tablespoon of milk powder. And put the curd only when it is warm and not hot milk.
    We staying in Pune do the same and get a thick curd . As in Pune the Bhaia Milk is a bit thin- so difficult to set thick curd.

    no need to add milk powder,just add curd with hot milk and don't stir it. iam in pune,and i used t buy katraj milk.

    Hi,

    Add the curd in warm milk, not in hot milk also add 1/4 tsp of sugar (it's for 3 cup milk), this will make the curd soo thick and tasty.

    I usually stir the milk, but the next time I will try not to stir it.

    I tried!!! It worked. I had perfectly set dahi today at lunch. So thick and not at all runny! Thanks rstlily

    Hi Gurbani,
    When did u add the curd in the milk? when the milk was completely hot ,immediately after boil or after the milk was little warm...becoz i too didn't get thick curd...one more thing after adding curd, do we need to stir?
