Day 34: Sunrise literally woke me up. Suddenly was able to see orange rays coming out from window. I ran to capture that beautiful moment. It was mind blowing. Day 35: Well I’m back to my home. DH happily served me yummy pulao and raita. He knew that I would be hungry so Vada pav and sweets where waiting for me
Day 42 : Today bought gifts for the kids of my colleague while we went to their house warming. Kids were very happy that even they got the gifts along with parents. Day 43: Today went to the kid's swimming class. My kid was excited to show me the swimming skills.
Day 3: Yard sale day in our community. Found something I was debating whether to buy or not for dirt cheap.
Wrote four letters to DS, one for each day he will be away at science camp. Letters will be delivered to the kids every night at dinner time. I'd forgotten how much time and effort it takes to write a memorable letter. Long long ago I used to write letters on the blue inland letter cards to my dad when he was posted to the border, and to friends I left behind every time we moved. I used to be quite the letter writer but I've lost my touch. Took me all afternoon to pen four letters to my child. We've traded the joy of savoring something carefully crafted with instant connectivity. I can't decide if it was worth it.
Day 36:Watched Maharshi movie. It was so inspiring and a feel good movie. I felt the charm in Mahesh is back with this movie
They who shall remain unidentified stood me up for a planned restaurant outing. I went anyway. Sat alone and happily ordered three items. People-watched and had the meal with mindfulness, being in the now. Waiter took long to get the check at the end, so I pulled out my cell phone and tried to check IL. : ) It showed "your IP address has been banned" : ) My heart kind of sank to my knees as I tried to recall what I had posted in the hot A/B algebra thread. Turned out my phone had automatically logged into restaurant wi-fi. : ) Positivity: Not the no-ban : ) but the solo relaxed meal out after a long time. Plan to do this more often.
Day 12: kids+ me+ ice cream+ kung fu panda movie...all adults were out of house...it was a terrific combination!! Day 13: a lazy Sunday with things moving at my own pace...it was about exhibiting empathy, being less critical, expressing joy, and ignoring stupidity...I like this serene version of mine!!
I have been so busy on Saturday, a day I dedicate to serve the fellow beings. I signed up to distribute fruits and vegetables to the elderly in the neighborhood. I have also prepared lesson plans for the children in the age group of 16 to 18 who are likely to go and live away from their parents about circle of influence and its effect on life. I have sent an email to the local orphanage about our spiritual group celebrating the birthday of the children in their home with their friends at our own cost. Later, I went to the Hospice to complete my 3 hour service for the transitioning patients. A very satisfying day.
It's the beach which is making me happy and positive . No matter what beaches are my favorite and they never fail to amaze me every time I visit. Evening by the beach.
Day 44: Today i spent good amount of time in gardening. Plucking the weeds, watering the plants and adding manure.
