Dear Nonya,
When I am already struggling to understand Greek now you are throwing another challenge to me to learn Latin.

Have some mercy on this oldest and senior most ( only in age) member of IL.

I don't think IL will ever be bereft of good writers.

I am afraid to come out and tell who else is writing in Greek.
So don't ask me to answer difficult questions.

One older fellow, who didn't study in English medium school, put out (not in greek, but latin):"cogito ergo sum" -- in this day, this would be "I post on IL forum, and therefore I am significant".
If people started using "significant" and "useful to others" as filters to what they want to post, this forum would peter out.
Come out and tell us who else is writing in greek.

With my bird-brain, a limited vocabulary of lower than 100 words, diminishing memory even to recollect the fewer words and the last but not least the low educational qualification in Tamil medium, I feel it is time for me to hit the sack after completing eight decades in life.

I am awe struck when I read snippets and blogs of the highly literate persons like Mr Cheeniya, Madam Iravati, Mr Ojaantrik, Mr Viswamitra, Jayasala42, Sagitta, Swathi and many other youngsters who are very knowledgeable. I feel like a babe in the woods, rather I would say a mole before the mountains.

Even for writing a feedback I struggle a lot. A music critic should have the knowledge in music to evaluate a musician's performance. Likewise a person should have literary knowledge to understand and interpret an article. Sometimes articles written by highly literate people seems Greek to me as I studied in Tamil medium and that too upto school final.

At the fag end of life I feel it is unlikely for me to become an intellect. But I will peep in IL and read articles that attract my attention and try my level best to give my feedback.

Dear P'S Madam,
We all like your writings a lot.
Here we are to express ourselves....no competition. We need not have the knowledge of the topic It is not aymposium or conference. Various people from various backgrounds gathered....interacting with each other, sometimes agree, sometimes disagree, many times learn a lot, new perspective. Isn't that fun and is worthful? Yes, it is. Age does not matter. Some Like Cheeniya sir, Oj sir and some others are storehouse of knowledge. We interact with them and many times argue also. I find it interesting. English medim , Telugu or Tamil or Hindi medium does not matter. Language is only for expression.
I do not have knowledge of classical music but enjoy listening to it. No knowledge of Raga or Talam . Do we not enjoy cricket though never holders a bat .
So, please continue writing . We would be delighted to read .

I to all my IL friends and well wishers and will keep you entertaining? with my anecdotes when I find something amusing and interesting which will be inspiring or humorous.

During my last visit to US during a friend's get together I did held a cricket bat in my hand and I lost the wicket at the first ball. But I scored remarkably in hitting the target than my team mates.

Dear P S maam,
was surprised to see why you suddenly felt not upto it with your IL entries. I suppose we all have those moods and time when we question ourselves. There is no doubt that IL is more a place to just exchange ideas, feelings and anything that interests us. For my part, I am too lazy to write or contribute unless something really striking catches my attention. Otherwise, i peruse the site - about a half hour or so daily. Glad to see that you agree to continue to contribute and participate as before.

Dear Pushpa,
My Akka at 92 is going strong.At times at this age it quite natural to feel a set back.I too feel the same on many occasions. Take a break.Automatically your enthusiasm will get revived.
At least in this generation we have got so many advantages of PC etc which we are able to handle.A small intervel would make you very alert and your neurons would start getting stimulated with speed unknown earlier.
