Indu- Free will.....her choice like I mentioned before. Being restricted by another individual to do something and choosing by free will do something- surely there is difference between two.

Being an Indira Nooyi does not make it easy either. I am sure there are plenty of women who question her choices and call her names too. I repeat- Lets stop judging other women.

Her opinion is hers but when you disparage other people and their choices, surely one should expect be called out, no?

If I said all working women are uncaring mothers and wives and care only about money, I am sure many people (men and women) will take objection.

I agree a family is like playing cricket or any other sports. If you take a team every team member has to contribute something or the other to be in the team otherwise you are thrown out. No one wants to be the 12th man or the 13th man who brings water and towel for the players. I think every team member want to prove themselves about their talent.

I never said making money is what a women should do. Do not suppress your talent. That's what I feel.

Whao- so are saying my mother and all women like her make no contribution to the family. I really don't have to prove anything to you. I just feel sorry that this is how you think.

So what is your definition of "contribution"?

What are the talents you speak of? You say it is not money. So what is it?

Why decides what talents should be used to be called a "valuable"? Is that you?

What gives you rights to say women who choose different path than yous are "depressed and unhappy"?

Didnt you say women who stay home especially your SIL is below you because you work? According to me that's not called asking people not to suppress their talents. That's called judging. You can have many talents but one of your many talents cannot be the women who don't work do less than you. That's not one of your brownie points.

@armummy I suggest you back and read all of her post and then you will realize what we are trying to say here. If she had simply said her choice and left it there that was fine but she went little too beyond and it definitely has hurt people here.

@sdiva20 @Laks09 I feel like we are banging our heads against a wall :bang. No matter how plainly the facts are stated she is not going to accept the fact. All I can do is pity her friends and relatives circle who are wonderful home makers. I wish they knew what her friend thinks about them.

@Sdiva20 now there should not be a 12th or 13th player in cricket too. I think we should just leave it here faintingsmiley

One only realizes the importance of the 12th or 13th when one of the 11 gets hurt or injured. In that situation, if there is no 12th player, no game.

Indu- Something to think about before being so dismissive of others.
