apts in edison NJ

    Hi,

    im looking for a good apartment in edison ,nj as im relocating in 2 weeks time im married and i have 2 kids,pls suggest me an aprartment which is nearer to the edison station and kindetgartens.

    pls reply soon as im relocating in 2 weeks time its very urgent.
    pls friends i value ur suggestions.

    consider oxford arms or see craigslist for some condomiums, u can even see rivendell apartments but those are around 15 min walk to station

    hi,

    thks for the response,hw abt commuting ive checked njtransit.com for info but was not convinced with the route my hubbys office is in montvale but vr planing to take house in piscatway or edison cos thses being the center.and more over resonable.but the problem is commuting.hows teh commute from piscatway/edison to montvale.

    pls advice imm as its urgent

    If your hubby's office is in montvale, why do you want to live this far in piscataway or edison? Are you working? Is central NJ your work location?

    Montvale is in NY/NJ border and you have lots of apartments and shopping options near Montvale. Commute from Edison area can be hectic and expensive. Rather, there is no direct commute from Edison area to montvale. He'll have to change trains from Newark or Secaucus - I'm not sure the exact routes.

    hi,

    thanks for the respnse,we have found out rentals in montvale its very expensive for 2 bed its cuming upto 1900$-2100$.and moreover my work place is in piscatway.so we have decided to stay in piscatway but we r thinking abt commute pls temme hw to reach from piscatawy to montavel i know its very far but we have no other option.

    apart from njtransit kindly lemme to knw if there is any others like amtrak or something else.

    pls advice.

    There is no direct public transit from Piscataway to Montvale. As I mentioned earlier, there might be a connection from Newark Penn or Secaucus if you take NJ transit train. Nearest train station in Piscataway is Edison. The best option for you to find the public transit is to use google maps. Give the exact from and to addresses and use the 'by public transit' button just above the 'to' address field. You can choose your date and time of journey. This will give you a rough idea.

    hi,

    thks again for the info i did try on what u(by seeing in google maps) told its taking 2 + hrs.can u suggest me any other trains(i knw its not direct)whcih goes via and reaches montvale cos gng in train is better than in bus.

    Doesn't google maps show train? I tried and it showed train routes. Google maps shows the best available transit options..What I see for Piscataway - Montvale public transit is a combination of bus and train routes. Doubt there can be any other options!
