    hi
if you have a temple tank near your house you can dispose off in that or
if you have any garden you can dispose in the garden under a flower plant.

In today's world, it is not easy to go to the beach or any water body to dispose off our pooja stuff. This also adds to the pollution of the water bodies and plus, practically, it is not always easy to find a suitable place for this.

In our house, we just sprinkle water on the dried flowers/pooja items and then put them in a paper bag and then dispose it. Similarly, any food items that are used in a pooja can be first washed off under running water and then discarded. Before we used to ask our maid to dispose it for us, but later we realised that she was actually dumping it in a sewerage water body.

That made us upset and after talking to our priest, he suggested the above.

    Dear Sivaranjani,

If you have flower pots in your flat.. you can dispose there and they act as compost to those plants. else you can keep the flowers aside and weekly once..anyway you go out right.. that time.. you can dispose them at some water body near by....that is the right thing.. if you are doing pooja correct.... then the things used for pooja also should be disposed off correctly... isnt it?
