Learn to make easy soup with Red Lenthil and Chickpea. It’s a low fat and low calorie recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
- Red lentils – 1/4 cup
- Cooked Chickpeas – ¼ cup
- Tomatoes chopped/whole(big) – 1
- Onion(Chopped) – 1
- Cumin seeds -1 teaspoon
- Chili flakes – large pinch
- Vegetable oil -1 teaspoon
- Salt – to taste
- Water/veg stock – 2 cups
- Coriander,Yogurt – Garnishing
PREPARATION METHOD:
- Heat a deep pan.Dry fry cumin seeds and chili flakes still they pop and release their aroma.
- Now add oil and chopped onion,saute and cook till onions turn pink.
- Add lentils,tomatoes,salt and stock/water,bring to boil.
- Simmer for 15-20 minutes till lentils softens.
- Make a rough puree of this using a blender.
- Back to pan,add channa and cook on low flame till all blend together.
- Serve with fresh coriander/yogurt.
