It’s simple and quick kuzhambu for rice as well as for tiffen varieties.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Onions – 3 – chop fine
  • Tomatoes – 3 – chop fine
  • Potatoes – 3 ( peel, cut into ½” cubes, steam)
  • Drumstick – 2 – cut 2 “ long ( steam)
  • Tamarind paste – 2 teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder – 2 teaspoon
  • Dhaniya powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Haldi, salt
  • To temper: – Oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Mustard seeds – 1 teaspoon
  • Jeera – ½ teaspoon
  • Methi seeds – ½ teaspoon
  • Saunf – ½ teaspoon
  • Curry leaves – few
PREPARATION METHOD:
  1. Heat oil and temper all given ingredients one by one.
  2. Then add chopped onions and fry till colour changes.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes a d fry till it becomes pulpy.
  4. Now add water, tamarind paste, all masala powders and steamed vegetables.
  5. When everything boils together, remove and add coriander leaves.
  6. Goes with rice as well as tiffen.
